Tuuli From is a postdoctoral researcher at the Faculty of Educational Sciences, University of Helsinki. Her research critically explores how educational policies and ideologies are negotiated and enacted in the everyday practices of institutional education. Grounded in the sociology of education, policy studies, sociolinguistics, and critical geography, her interdisciplinary work centres on two core themes: first, the analysis of language policies and ideologies as mechanisms of educational governance; and second, the spatial and material dimensions of governance in educational settings, through both historical and contemporary forms of school architecture. From is a member of the DIMISO (Diversity, Multilingualism, and Social Justice in Education) research community at the University of Helsinki and an affiliate of POISED (Political Philosophies and Sociologies of Education) at Tampere University.
